@17Jefferson76 @realJeremyCarl You say that. How much do you travel? What specific cities are you talking about? You must go to a lot of cities i assume. It can’t just be you believe what you read or see on the news. Right?

Seeing a lot of people dunking on Ben Shapiro for this tweet. But if you operate under his worldview, in which issues are decided purely on "facts and logic," it makes sense. And you know what, there are absolutely people in this country from every color and background who are who are great patriots and valuable citizens. But *on average* "the browning of America" and mass immigration matters a lot. Most people are tribal and they vote fairly tribally-- this is especially true for people who come from non-Western backgrounds, where tribal politics is often everything. To ignore that reality, in favor of an airy belief that people decide existential political issues primarily on abstract principles, is dangerously naive, not conservative. And if you feel that is unfair, well, facts don't care about your feelings.

Hells Angel Boss Reveals the Rule They Never Should’ve Broken “There was always an unwritten rule: no homes and no families. They beat up one of our guys’ girlfriends that was a bartender. She was behind the bar, and they busted her nose. We did that exactly back to them. Not something I’m proud of. Not something I wanted to do. But where were we going next? To the homes? To the mothers and fathers? Now we were a real street gang. I look back now, and I think, bro, I couldn’t do that again for all the money in the world.”

It took all of 30 seconds to find bitching and whining by various publications about the Texas Rangers deciding to have a "Faith and Family" night. So your entire narrative is false. Also, Pride nights receive dominate coverage by mainstream media. Again, none of this actually matters if the MLB would focus on baseball and not religion or sexuality. Its all pandering and it's all stupid. Had you not spent so much time assuming what I believe you might have understood that. If what you say was remotely true, a certain Colorado Baker wouldn't be in and out of court for the last decade because of a demand for people to participate in things they don't want to.

@17Jefferson76 @Josheye @SherwoodStrauss You had no idea it’s existed for 34 years? Lol, that’s because gay people and the left don’t whine and bitch about the existence of Christian Day like the right does for anything they disagree with. Says everything right there that you’ve never heard of it.

Being a flawed person (who recognizes their flaws) is different than being a person who does not recognize their flaws. Especially for a "Christian" who normalizes that which the Bible explicitly states is a sin. God will use flawed people, absolutely. God using someone does not mean the same as saved.

@Josheye @SherwoodStrauss And no, Christians don't participate in pride. Thats like Hitler Calling himself a man of peace. You can't do things that are unbiblical (or unpeacful) and call oneself a Christian (or a man of peace)

@17Jefferson76 @SherwoodStrauss I don’t lump anyone together. Whom they sleep with and their religion are unrelated. To me. For example many Pride participants are Christian of some sort many are not. Means nothing to me.

@Josheye @SherwoodStrauss You called it a very generic "open faith night" When it should be called "Christ is King night" to get Christians to the ball park so they can feel open and loved and recognized. There should be specific uniforms (optional for the players) that highlight that faith.

You can guess, but I actually had no idea. Actually I would ask why it's necessary? Baseball is baseball. Being a Christian is a 365 day a year faith. Christian day is by its nature, pandering. You can be a Christian and play baseball without needing Christian day. As a Christian, I don't go to a dentist and ask them if they do Christian fillings or the regular ones. I'd never ask my plumber if he does Christian plumbing or standard plumbing.

@17Jefferson76 @Josheye @SherwoodStrauss The Cardinals have been having Christian Day for over 3 decades, including players giving their Christian testimony. Do you have a tweet complaining about it and asking why it’s necessary, or are you a giant hypocrite? I bet I can guess!!!

Why do you lump people of all faiths together but you distinguish other groups specifically by who they sleep with? Its not really that complicated. You either like baseball or you don't. I don't think there are many gay dudes who DONT like baseball but watch it because there is a pride night. I'd also argue that there are probably gay dudes who are actual fans of baseball and still would be without gay/white/straight/black/trans/religion pride nights.

@17Jefferson76 @SherwoodStrauss Why don’t they? I don’t care why they don’t. The move is to let more people in so “Open Faith Night” let all religious people enjoy a game! seems more appropriate or consistent

@Josheye @SherwoodStrauss So why don't they have "Christ is King Nights" so that more Christians become baseball fans and feel welcome at the ballpark? Then there is the obvious question. Why is the only way someone can feel welcome at a ball park is to have a celebration of their sexuality?

@17Jefferson76 @SherwoodStrauss Here is what it has to do with baseball: the league wants everyone to be welcome. They want everyone to play baseball. They want everyone to be fans. They want all people to feel welcome at a ballpark. In other words: all money is green!

I think it's all stupid because none of it has anything to do with baseball. I don't care if it's gay pride, straight pride, black pride, or white pride. Its very snowflakeish to demand (not saying you are) that a specific group get recognition that no other group gets just for existing. So having a "pride night" is for snowflakes. But yes, am I bothered is the crux of the conversation. I'm bothered by all the stupidity, regardless of who is doing it. Just play baseball. Leave the identitarianism and politics at the door. The problem with basing it on what and what doesn't bother us is that it we all have different levels of what doesn't and doesn't bother us. So leave it all in the parking lot and play ball.

@17Jefferson76 @SherwoodStrauss It wouldn’t be different on the surface. But the question isn’t “am I bothered?” Thats irrelevant. In this case no players are required to participate. If they were forced I suppose we would have a different talk. I remember when the left side was considered the snowflakes.

I actually agree with the private business aspect. I actually don't care if someone is denied business for ideological reasons (with respect to private businesses not the government) The cake case is irrelevant because the court didn't decide that gay people couldn't have access to cakes because they are gay. The ruling said that government couldn't not force someone to bake a specific type of cake that goes against their beliefs. Let's use the cake baker as an example. If a gay couple came in and said "I'd like a birthday cake that says "happy birthday Bob." There is no religious objectionable message in "Happy Birthday Bob." If the cake maker denied them those cakes because they are gay, the court would have decided differently. So the Colorado case wasn't discrimination because the cake that was being asked for was a customized product that would have required the baker to use his talents to endorse a message. Its irrelevant to the coffee case because it's coffee. The same product a Jew orders is the same as a non jew as a muslim. Ordering and selling coffee doesn't have a message attached (unless someone is a real talented barista that can make those fancy designs on top. If someone asked for a Israeli flag on top, under the courts ruling, a coffee shop could object) I say all that to say this. AAG Dhillon is being consistent in accordance to the law and court rulings.

@17Jefferson76 @AAGDhillon @CivilRights @danielsgoldman First, it’s a private business. The classic right wing argument is you have the right to deny service based on ideology. Many are citing the Colorado cake shop case in this regard. Also, the “no shirt no shoes no service rule. Should it be this way? That’s for another time

The @CivilRights is aware of the denial of service taunts to @danielsgoldman by Poetica Coffee in Brooklyn. Federal law prohibits public accommodations such as coffee shops from discriminating against patrons based on their race, religion, or national origin. These actions are not only reprehensible, they’re potentially illegal. The Civil Rights Division has opened an investigation, and will bring an enforcement action if warranted. If you have been denied service at a public accommodation on the basis of a protected characteristic, we at @TheJusticeDept want to know!

I don’t know who you are, @camhigby, but this is a shockingly pathetic and stupid tweet. I’m sorry you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin, but you just told on yourself. John is an incredible person and public servant who has served New York City with dedication, compassion and grace — qualities you apparently do not have. I’m the member of Congress. You can come for me but stay away from my staff. I will stand with John today, tomorrow, and every day. Do better.

Would you be bothered by White Pride Night? Would you be bothered by Straight Pride Night? "The Lakers are proud supporters of White and Straight Pride Night as we take time to remember all the great contributions made by the White Straight Community." If you wouldn't support that, then why? What makes that different? And what does any of it have to do with baseball?

Nobody is perfect, and we all get things wrong. When confronted with facts, we should admit the mistake and adjust accordingly. Having said that, I'm blocking people who post false quotes. It's easy to fact check, so why post something so blatantly false?
