At least now little girls who dream of Olympic medals will know that biological males can't cheat their way onto their podium...or punch them relentlessly in the face and get a medal for it. Credit to Sharron Davies and Martina Navratilova, who spoke up despite attacks from those who should've known better. They spoke up when it was easier to stay quiet and paid the price in lost income and support.

Due to a lack of support from the party, I am withdrawing my candidacy for Reform with immediate effect. I thank all those who have supported me, and I wish the remaining candidates well.

Reform have today announced their list of candidates for Wales. Among familiar names are Llyr Powell of Caerphilly, Mark Reckless of Ukip fame and ex Tory spad Corey Edwards. Longtime stalwart Gareth Beer gets in too as does Laura Anne Jones, the party’s first MS.

As I said just now. The rules don’t need “tightening up” they just need to be followed. Labour’s defence seems to be “we aren’t deceitful, we’re incompetent”! Either way they are not fit for office.

We were specifically told by Steve Reed on Sunday the theft pre-dated the issues relating to Mandelson. I’m going to say it again. This is a blatant cover-up. And Ministers - from the Prime Minister down - are openly lying about it.

@JamesCleverly We need more homes but they need to reflect the needs of residents rather than the aspirations of developers. All too often, developers are being allowed to build 4 bed homes where plenty exist already but where there are insufficient numbers of smaller homes.

I meet Jill Scott MBE last week, she is bringing her leadership from the pitch to Parliament to champion playing fields and green spaces. Labour’s changes to planning rules threaten these vital community assets and sideline key protections. We need the right homes in the right places, but that must not come at the cost of access to sport and recreation. Build on brownfield, not playing fields.

The Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea could be up and running in just a few months. Enough gas to heat 1.6 million homes. Every single drop will go into our pipes. Ed Miliband is blocking it. Madness.

Remembrance Day is one of our most cherished civic traditions in the UK. @jcartlidgemp and I, alongside 97 co-signatories, have written to the Prime Minister asking him to support local authorities to waive the cost of road closure fees and support organisations with the costs associated with managing road closures for Remembrance Day parades. No community should ever be without the opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces personnel, both past and present. Money should never be a barrier to this. A few minutes ago the entire opposition @Kent_cc walked out of the Chamber in protest @reformparty_uk gagging of democracy. Against advice and guidance of the Electoral Commission, independent Constitutional Barristers and the Council's own Monitoring Officer, ReformUK insisted on tabling their motion declaring a Migration Emergency, even though the council is with the 'Purdah" period when they are legally prohibited from debating issues which might influence the outcome of local elections presently taking place. The only way they could do this was by the Chairman informing elected members that they were barred from criticising Reform, make political points or criticise the policy. The opposition parties met at lunchtime and agreed that the rules of debate set by the Reform-appointed Chairman made it impossible to oppose (which is our job). This is a sad day for democracy, a sad day for good governance and a sad day for Kent and an example of what ReformUK will be like in government.

Reform UK Kent Council have just approved a 3.8% pay rise for councillors above the 3.6% recommended. Despite the chaos, the lack of DOGE savings, the increased council tax, the lies - @LeaderofKCC and her team think it’s time to give themselves a raise. That’s Reform UK’s flagship.

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.
