Through inspiring real-world success stories from @AAAcomms (Australia), @AASouthAfrica, @ADAC (Germany) and @EMSO_NEWS (UAE), the final Mobility session of the #FIAMacauConference2025 took a deep dive into how Artifical Intelligence and data can be leveraged to enhance advocacy efforts, improve operational efficiency, and develop innovative services that better meet the needs of their Club members. The session also featured a keynote by Serge Stinckwich from the @UNUniversity in Macau, who presented his research on AI- and data-driven simulation models designed to inform and empower citizens. #FIAMobility

🚧 Tasmania experienced its deadliest month since July 2009. Australia is not on track to reach the Federal Government’s target to halve road deaths by 2030. All governments should publish, use, and share road safety data because effective use of data can save lives. 🔎 See the AAA’s interactive data dashboard: aaa.asn.au/research-data/… 👉 For more information and a state-by-state breakdown see: aaa.asn.au/2025/05/new-pa…

📢 In the March quarter, the typical Australian household spent 15.8% of its income on transport. The most recent AAA report shows that transport affordability has improved for three consecutive quarters, however costs remain higher compared to pre-COVID pandemic levels. Hobart and Launceston spent nearly 20% of their income on transport, while Brisbane and Wagga Wagga remained the most affordable. 📄 Read the full report: aaa.asn.au/library/transp… 📊 Explore an interactive data dashboard: aaa.asn.au/research-data/…

In Wills, Victoria, the Greens and Liberal candidates are standing up for road safety and integrity. The AAA thanks @SamanthaRatnam and Jeff Kidney for backing the My Safety Counts campaign, which calls for the Federal Government to share safety data about roads when making funding announcements. This simple measure will show whether politicians fund roads to save lives, or to win votes in marginal electorates. It would save lives, and improve transparency. We look forward to hearing from all other candidates, like @PeterKhalilMP, who are yet to share their view. 🚦4 days until election day. 📩 Find out where Peter, and other local candidates, stand on your safety MySafetyCounts.org.au

Are politicians spending taxpayer money on making roads safer, or just winning votes? Right now, we don’t know. Without data on how governments choose which roads to fund, communities are left in the dark. This morning on @abcaustralia Radio National, AAA Managing Director Michael Bradley unpacked why releasing secret road safety ratings will save lives and restore public confidence in the integrity of government. #auspol 👂🏼Listen to the full interview here: abc.net.au/listen/program…

.@LiberalAus and @Greens candidates in Griffith back greater transparency of road safety data with road funding announcements. #auspol Both the Greens' @MChandlerMather and the Liberals' Andrew Bishop support this transparency reform but Labor's @reneecoffeygrif has yet to state a view. Publishing safety ratings of the roads will show us whether politicians choose road works to save lives, or to win votes in marginal electorates. 📩You can ask Renee directly at MySafetyCounts.org.au

When an aircraft, boat or train crashes, federal authorities investigate to find out what went wrong. These no-blame investigations are designed to identify systemic changes that could prevent recurrence. With about 1,300 road deaths in Australia each year, the AAA is calling on the Federal Government to take the same approach to road trauma. The @LiberalAus and @The_Nationals have agreed, and we thank them for the support. #auspol We look forward to hearing from other parties about their views. 👇🏼 Check if your local candidate agrees with other road safety reforms. 🔎 Head to mysafetycounts.org.au to know before you vote.

💪The @Greens Party have just stood up for road safety and government integrity. The party has confirmed today that it backs the AAA’s My Safety Counts campaign, which calls for the Federal Government to share safety data about the roads when making funding announcements. This way, Australians see whether projects are designed to save lives, or just win votes. This simple and commonsense transparency measure will lead to safer roads and lift public confidence in the integrity of government. The AAA thanks The @Greens for their support. @AdamBandt , @larissawaters, @EWatsonBrown, @MChandlerMather, @stephenbatesmp. 👀 See what other candidates are on the list: mysafetycounts.org.au

About 500,000km of Australian roads have been rated for safety using a globally recognised five-star safety scale. These ratings should be published with road funding announcements so Australians can see whether politicians fund road projects to save lives, or just to win votes in marginal electorates. A range of Independent MPs including Dr Monique Ryan and Zoe Daniel have backed this commonsense proposal. But the @Greens are yet to commit support. 📷Not yet supportive: @AdamBandt @stephenbatesmp 📷Supportive: @Mon4Kooyong @zdaniel Only 17 days remain until the election. 📷 Check where other candidates stand: mysafetycounts.org.au

ℹ️ The AAA’s Real-World Testing Program has revealed hybrid vehicles don’t always deliver expected fuel savings. The AAA tested hybrid and petrol variants from a range of brands. While Toyota’s hybrids delivered the most fuel savings, some models offered little or no savings, with one hybrid consuming more fuel than its petrol variant, despite costing $3000 more. Realworld.org.au tests vehicles on Australian roads in real driving conditions, and measures fuel efficiency and emissions to see how they compare to results obtained from mandatory laboratory tests. 📰 See the full results: aaa.asn.au/2025/04/do-you…
