@AFlaCracker

Charlie Kirk was assassinated for exercising free speech. The left celebrated it. There will be no unity.

@drjasonfung "plain water" isn't just one thing. Electrolyte/mineral content varies by source, obviously. River, lake, stream, spring, well, city-supply, bottled, distilled, etc. _Pure_ water absolutely does "dehydrate" you if not supplemented with electrolytes.

WTF? If you drink a lot of water, you will pee it out. That's what your kidneys do (speaking as a kidney specialist). I drink plain water (yes, without salt) almost every day of my life, as did virtually all humans for the last, say, million years. No, I am not worried about 'dehydrating' myself by drinking water. 🙄

The first assembler was written by hand directly in raw machine code (binary 0s and 1s). Once you have a basic one, you write improved assemblers in assembly language and use the existing one to translate them into executable machine code. It's all bootstrapping—no magic, just layers building on prior layers until it's self-hosting.

@chesterzelaya The best day of compiler development is when your compiler becomes 'self-aware' and can compile itself. Originally, we used assembly language to write a C compiler...but we don't need to do that any longer. Your next question is "What assembles the assembler?"

@Boydesian I won't argue that. But I am enjoying the recent Jack Ryan series. At a time where everything sucks, it doesn't suck.

For the millionth time, the War Powers resolution does not give a president the authority to wage war, it RESTRICTS his authority to use the military. Anyone with "lover of the US constitution" in their bio who doesn't understand that is a partisan hack.

This is insane. Scientists have created a liquid that can store sunlight for months or even years and release it later as heat on demand. US researchers designed a DNA-inspired molecule called pyrimidone that changes into a high energy form when exposed to UV light. This transformation locks solar energy inside the molecule’s structure, allowing it to be stored long-term with very little loss. When triggered by heat, acid, or a catalyst, the molecule returns to its original form and releases the stored energy as heat. The system reaches about 1.6 MJ per kilogram, comparable to or higher than lithium-ion batteries by mass, and has produced enough heat to rapidly boil small amounts of water in experiments. Unlike batteries or hot-water tanks, this Molecular Solar Thermal (MOST) fluid stores energy chemically, so it doesn’t gradually leak heat over time and can be recharged repeatedly with sunlight. If scaled, it could allow buildings to capture summer solar energy and use it in winter with minimal external power. This research points toward a future where solar energy can be stored seasonally in a stable liquid fuel. Acceleration is everywhere

It doesn't make sense. That's also exactly what happened. See the problem? "Just five days earlier, a paramedic from a local GP surgery had attended Ms Burge's home to assess her condition and found that her leg was 'shortened and rotated' - a sign of a fractured hip. The pensioner was told she would need to wait ten days for an ambulance to St Mary's Hospital in Newport, but suffered a fall before the transfer could take place."

@Blondie9780 @DailyMail Why would a paramedic, who arrives by ambulance, get there and tell her they can only arrive there in ten days when they are already there? You need to read and think more

This is a ploy by WH and DHS to disrupt air travel in order to blame Democrats. Think about it rather than just repeat their headlines. Why would the more efficient system which uses fewer agents and gets more people through be shut down? It makes no sense.
Kyle Potter@kpottermn

NEW: Both TSA PreCheck and Global Entry programs will be shut down by the federal government as of 6am ET Sunday, per the @washingtonpost. DHS says it’s prioritizing the “general traveling population” after funding for agency lapsed in shutdown showdown. washingtonpost.com/nation/2026/02…
