AI is not just changing software. It’s changing: - work - attention - media - bureaucracy - decision-making - and how much absurdity people are expected to absorb while staying “professional” This account tracks that. AI, systems, automation, and the future of work — minus the corporate wallpaper.

@ChrisDJackson @JoeBiden So a person who is senile and corrupt and caught on video groping children is considered a good president. With those low standards anybody except maybe Carter was a good president

Who else misses the boring, no-drama days of @JoeBiden? No chaos. No circus. No daily embarrassment. Just quiet competence from a president who actually knew how to do the job.

AI didn’t create workplace stress. It amplified it. More messages More expectations More “instant” everything Your brain hasn’t changed. The demand on it has.

💼 One of the least discussed effects of modern work is how much energy gets spent not on the task itself… but on: - interpreting ambiguity - managing interruptions - tracking shifting expectations - and staying regulated through all of it

🧠 A lot of discussion around AI focuses on efficiency. Much less attention goes to what it feels like to operate inside these systems day to day: - constant context switching - unclear expectations - conflicting signals - pressure to stay “composed” through it That part matters too.

@brithume But she did go to Fox News. Which, as we all know, paid 100's of millions to settle a case accusing the network of lying for Trump/election lies. Useless network. Just full of grifters, liars and really bad journalists.

@adkirf Exactly. It often delays feedback while increasing downstream complexity. By the time the failure becomes visible, it’s usually harder to trace and easier to blame on the wrong layer.

@AINewsReporter Automation as insulation. The problem doesn't disappear. It just takes longer to surface and costs more to fix when it does.

⚠️ A lot of “AI efficiency” is going to look like this: Same broken workflow. Same staffing. Same confusion. Just with one more layer of software between the problem and the person expected to absorb it.

@TomSolidPM @dev_maims Definitely. The same pattern shows up in writing, research, planning, reporting, and decision support. AI tends to amplify structure if it exists — and ambiguity if it doesn’t.

@dev_maims The debugging time is a symptom, not the problem. Most people skip mapping out what they actually need before prompting. No clear spec = no clear output. AI just amplifies whatever process (or lack of one) you already have. Do you find the same pattern with non-code tasks too?

AI generates your code in under a minute. You spend a few hours debugging it. You could’ve just written it yourself in about an hour. But that would mean actually thinking… and apparently we don’t do that anymore

⚠️ AI is about to expose how many “systems” were actually just: - tribal knowledge - spreadsheet glue - undocumented exceptions - and one person everyone depends on but nobody formally acknowledges

@ProHance_net Exactly. A lot of “efficiency” gets experienced downstream as intensity.

FACT: Businesses thrive on process. Also FACT: Leaders don't invest enough in process documentation. Want to know how a 150-person pool company operates? Reply with "Workflow" and I'll DM you the process map for an 8-digit business.

🧠 AI is going to remove some types of work. But it’s also going to create a new kind of cognitive load: - more decisions - more monitoring - more edge cases - more responsibility without clear boundaries That tradeoff isn’t being discussed enough.

🔍 AI is not just changing tools. It’s changing: - workflows - decision-making - accountability - and how much complexity gets pushed onto the individual worker. That last part is getting less attention than it should.

@Nexadmirer @th_x Long time ago in California a car’s tires caught fire because they were filled with weed. Mix in hot summer asphalt.

How would you get drugs into the tire like that is my first question. Even if you managed, the pressure against the rim from the inflated tire would cause problems as the car was traveling (I might be wrong, but that's my thought process there). Secondly, this car had drugs in places that makes me wonder just how the hell the car was operating at all (like in the engine)! I think this is fake, but I could be wrong.
