Senegal pays also homage to the memory of its Peacekeepers (Jambaars) and to those of all troop- and police-contributing countries who have fallen on the field of honour, and condemns in the strongest terms the attacks to which they have fallen victim. — Adoption à l’unanimité du projet de loi sur l’assistance aux détenus et le transfèrement des condamnés entre le Sénégal et le Maroc 🇸🇳🇲🇦*l L’ Assemblée Nationale du Sénégal a adopté à l’unanimité le projet de loi n°03/2025 autorisant la ratification de la Convention entre le #Sénégal et le #Maroc sur l’assistance aux détenus et le transfèrement des personnes condamnées. Objectifs de cette convention : 🔹 Renforcer la coopération judiciaire entre les deux pays en matière de transfèrement des condamnés. 🔹 Garantir le respect des droits fondamentaux des détenus, en conformité avec les normes internationales. 🔹 Faciliter la réhabilitation et la réintégration des détenus dans leur pays d’origine. Lors de cette session plénière, les débats ont permis d’apporter des éclairages essentiels sur le texte, notamment grâce à l’intervention de S.E. Objectives of this convention: 🔹 Strengthen judicial cooperation between the two countries regarding the transfer of convicted persons. 🔹 Ensure respect for the fundamental rights of detainees, in compliance with international standards. 🔹 Facilitate the rehabilitation and reintegration of detainees in their home country. Son Excellence Madame @YassineFall, Ministre de l’Intégration Africaine et des Affaires étrangères du Sénégal, a pris part à la réunion extraordinaire du Conseil des Ministres des Affaires étrangères de l’OCI, Organisation de la Conférence Islamique, tenue le 7 mars 2025, à Djeddhah, Royaume d’Arabie Saoudite. Les questions évoquées concernent : • le retour au sein de l’OCI de la République Arabe Syrienne qui avait été suspendue ; • ⁠l’agression Israélienne contre le peuple Palestinien et le rejet de toutes formes d’annexion ou d’expulsion de palestiniens de leur terre et le plan de reconstruction de #Gaza. Elle a souligné le rôle joué par le Sénégal, en tant que Président du Comité des Nations Unies pour l'exercice des droits inaliénables du Peuple Palestinien, et réitéré la nécessité d’un dialogue sérieux aboutissant sur la création d’une Palestine indépendante avec Jérusalem-Est comme capitale, vivant côte à côte avec #Israël, en paix et en sécurité, à l’intérieur de frontières sures et internationalement reconnues. —- Her Excellency Madam @YassineFall, Senegal’s Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, participated in the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held on March 7, 2025, in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The topics discussed included: • The reinstatement of the Syrian Arab Republic within the OIC following its suspension; • The Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the rejection of all forms of annexation or expulsion of Palestinians from their land, and the plan for the reconstruction of Gaza.
