It could have been worse is such a disingenuous response which shows such a lack of understanding and empathy. This event will have a lasting impact on so many people and to just shift the blame to the local school divisions is gross.

1 year ago we were banned from presenting child sexual abuse prevention programming in school. Healthy relationships, good touch/bad touch, consent, sexual harassment, drugs/alcohol, telling a trusted adult. We are still banned

Stalking/harassment is a serious issue however victims are often met with “he/she hasn’t done anything to you yet…” when they report it. Another example of why giving youth accurate information on gender based violence/abuse is so important
