As I slowly close out my John Carpenter gaps I’ve been gaining a real appreciation for how much this man just doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks A mind-bending creature-feature roller coaster down the halls of insanity and not once did it get too heady or unwieldy. In fact, Carpenter tackles the subject with ease and makes it into a veritable popcorn movie You’ve gotta have some serious cajones to attempt that with a script like this. And he sticks the landing to boot! 5/5 no notes
