I posted this in response to a conversation that I was having with one of my friend's, who is a talented creator and, now that I got your attention with some of my artwork, thought I would also share with you what I told him as some of you might find benefit from it... In my time, which in many cases seems to feel like it has been FOREVER, I've seen a lot of talented and creative individuals who have folded, packed it in and given up, because they listened to insensitive pecker-heads whose opinions weren't even worth wiping your ass with... but surrendered to it, none-the-less. First Rule of Being Creative: Create for yourself and don't base your worth on the validation of others; not everyone is going to understand you, like you, support you and some will even attack you simply because they are jealous of the talent you display. Second Rule of Being Creative: Try and be supportive of others who are creative, as well; while it is true that some of them may attack or betray you for some of the reasons mentioned above... those that don't are valuable in building a solid network of friendship and support that will help you to navigate through times of self doubt and whom will also rely on your encouragement to help them through theirs. Last Rule of Being Creative: ALWAYS BE YOURSELF! Be unashamed in who you are and what you do. Sacrificing who you are, for the benefit of others, stifles your ability to create; prevents you from finding the joy you can have in life and in the things you do; if people can't like you for who you are or what you do, then cut them loose... they will either tie you down (and not in a good way) and you'll only be lying to them and yourself, which is UNHEALTHY! Life, my friends, is too short to live it sacrificing who you are for others... be yourself.

@ASLPro_3D @thomasmahler The model does not matter. The training data is always finite. The concequence is that all models will converge to become the same, the more they are trained.

I just find it fascinating that hundreds of billions of dollars are spent on this stuff and yet, all the AI videos I've seen of Seedance so far kinda look the same to me, including the one I shared. They all feature the same exact characteristics and lack artistry, tone, taste, style, physicality and cohesion. We're seeing the same issues in other fields of AI generation - It's not like AI can actually turn any old photo into a masterfully crafted Caravaggio painting right now. In the same way, it can't create a hit record. Or write a short story like Shakespeare was able to. And that's even though it's been trained on way more data than any human could ever learn in their lifetimes. So just from a purely philosophical angle, that's fascinating. There's something in our creations that none of us can define, but all apply and it can't be recreated by machines even though we certainly try our best to make that happen. We're not there yet. Whether we'll get there or not remains to be seen.

Lol 😂 As indie, I gladly give Valve 30% cut. They’re supporting open source: Linux, Proton, Fex-Emu, etc. Valve is keeping tech free and markets accessible for all. They’re prob the only one that still care abt gaming, the gamers & devs. not greed. It’s long term thinking

No... no they don't. How many posts and complaints has Gabe posted on X... or anywhere? Oh wait... that's right, he doesn't. Who's the one who cries INJUSTICE and lies when he says that people aren't losing their jobs because of "performance issues"... which is a lie... because if there wasn't some kind of "performance issue" (either with them, management or the company itself), then they wouldn't be letting so many people go. So, yeah, one's a HERO the other is a ZERO as far as I can see, in my opinion.

@thomasmahler Honestly, for myself, I tend to remain solo and don't do much PvP anymore... to much people gaming the system with cheats and stuff. Now, I focus solely on a single person experience and share my love of them with other friends who've come to embrace this way of life.

Since we sneakily introduced Duels in Patch 1, it'd be interesting to know how everyone here feels about them! Having fun testing your builds against your buddies? Also, since we'll be looking into our Arena PVP Mode, it'd be great to know what 3d fighting games people are in love with. And I don't mean 2.5d fighters, but things like Power Stone 1&2, etc. Goal is to create a new breed of 3d fighting game playstyle that combines skill based combat with fully interactive arenas. The latter is going to be quite the game changer I think.
