This hub will give young people access to information, strengthen their digital media skills, and create opportunities to engage in civic dialogue on issues that affect their lives. For decades, dependence on fossil fuels meant dependence on volatility. In past oil shocks, countries had little choice but to absorb the pain.  Now they have an exit ramp: Homegrown renewable energy has never been cheaper, more accessible, or more scalable. As part of the Women2025+ campaign spearheaded by the Netherlands Ambassador together with five other female ambassadors and their identified male +1s, I partnered with the Danish Ambassador. Among other activities in the initiative, I drew seven cartoons on various women rights issues. Six of them were auctioned yesterday evening at the @DKinUganda Ambassador’s residence, from which about 7.5m was raised. Thanks to all that participated. I had the privilege to decide what the money should be put to. It will be used to buy reusable pads for school going girls in a refugee camp in Adjumani. It has been such an elating experience, a great feeling to be there for the less privileged.
