I had the immense honour of being received upon my arrival in Kampala by H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (@KagutaMuseveni). We discussed the Ebola situation in the region and the importance of a strong, coordinated, and united African response. I congratulated #Uganda for its rapid and effective response to the outbreak. Following our cross-border meeting with Ministers of Health of the DRC, Uganda and South Sudan, Africa will have one common plan to guide our collective response to this threat, a threat which we will most certainly overcome together. --- J’ai eu l’immense honneur d’être reçu à mon arrivée à Kampala par Son Excellence le Président Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The Ambassador of @IcelandinUganda, Hildigunnur (Hilda), emphasized the urgent need to expand access to healthcare services, particularly for underserved communities, noting that the SAY Plus+ programme is already making important progress in reaching vulnerable populations across Uganda. She stressed that quality healthcare is not only about infrastructure, equipment, and medical supplies, but also about trust, dignity, and respect. Every young person who walks into a health facility, she said, should feel safe, heard, protected, and treated without judgment. #MyVoiceMatters #SAYPlus+
