@jayk_gupta Oh yes 😄 I’ve broken things quite a few times while learning. Sometimes it’s dependency issues, sometimes permissions, and sometimes I just miss a step in the documentation. But debugging those problems is actually where I’ve learned most of my Linux skills.

@AgrawalGSimran Don't you face any issues installing softwares and stuff?

Applied to 25+ DevOps/cloud roles this week. No offer yet. But my Linux skills are better than they were a month ago.

@_BillDavies I’m still learning them. I’ve started working with Docker and Kubernetes, recently attended a Grafana community event, and observability is an area I want to explore more deeply. Right now I’m focusing on building strong fundamentals and gaining hands on experience.

@AgrawalGSimran Kubernetes for deploying, ServiceMesh for networking, Grafana and Prometheus for observability. Are you good at those?

@DD_0L Over the last month I’ve become more comfortable with systemd services, file permissions, package management, process monitoring, logs, networking basics, and troubleshooting issues instead of immediately searching for the answer. I still have a lot to learn but much better now.

@AgrawalGSimran I think you also need to do networking . That's THE fundamental . Linux is just a tiny lil part of it . Go over VPCs , DNS , Name server , resolvers , eBPF , L4 & L7 balancers , Virtualisation , chroots , etc . It's endless ,but these are the fundamentals

@AgrawalGSimran In fact the best thing you could do right now , is create a three tier , multi cloud terraform module . It will force you to learn the fundamentals deeply .

Unpopular opinion: Networking is more powerful than applying to 100 jobs.

Yesterday was hectic ! Office organised a cricket match !! My first time playing cricket and our team won the trophy 🏆 ! It was fun ! Personal goal was to do hands-on practice of kubernetes pods and linux but didn’t get to finish. I will finish yesterday’s goal and today’s too

Whenever I join x space after some time there is no audio!! I have to leave and rejoin! Even after rejoining it happens again !! @x what’s the matter ?!
