Things I’m picking up from this IMF report. Our broad money velocity is 3.3 That means that in our economy we cycle through our broad money supply 3.3 times in a year. That is actually high. In developed economies it’s typical to have that number at 1.1 to 2. 3.3 means money doesn’t sit long in accounts. As it’s coming in, it’s going back out. Paychecks are spent as they hit. Fast moving consumer goods and consumption economy. Banking depth is low and informality is high.

Aside from his asinine supporters on here, this has been my issue with him from day one. I’ve listened to a lot of his interviews, and no, not agenda-driven edits, but full conversations. I’ve sat through him discussing the economy, his plans for it, and even his understanding of the structure of government and how it works. Each time, I’ve come away underwhelmed, and that’s me being charitable. I completely understand the burning desire to remove the government of the day, as well as the emotional and empathetic appeal he brings. But leading a multifaceted, highly complex emerging economy like Nigeria requires more than good intentions and public sympathy. Yet every time you point that out, a swarm of witless cretins floods your mentions with insults and abuse, as though that will somehow change your assessment or translate into votes at the ballot box. In any case, I wish all the candidates the very best come 2027. May the best ideas win, and may Nigeria be great again.

Okay I wanted to talk about this Senator Dino Melaye video but I’ve been busy I have this customer who works in NDDC(top shot) he puts on white only, no other colour💯💯💯lives in Presidential Estate. His wife owned a very very big boutique on Woji Road GRA before relocating to the UK 🇬🇧. This man never used bank App. When you are done working it’s either USSD doesn’t work, “Godsave go I go do am” or he’ll give you half of the money in mint cash (mostly N200). Most times working/offering services to the high and mighty doesn’t entirely mean his/her wealth will rub off on you. Most times the easiest to get into this calibre of people is through their wives. I mean this men don’t actually see that your money as a problem( it sounds funny and crazy right? Yeah that’s how it plays in their head) They feel you are disturbing them when you call for your money. Always go through the wife. Also you don’t need their wealth most times, these people also give you exposure to meet other people of high caliber💯 thereby increasing your clientele. I know places and people I’ve known through this man. Also these people also come through in clutch moment, paperwork, legal issue, police issue etc. they know one or two persons in every sector. The mechanic didn’t do right by not going to check on the car.
