I spoke with @Umesh_Sachdev, CEO and Co-Founder of @uniphore on the sidelines of the #AIImpactSummit. Umesh touched on the "Golden Era" of the U.S.-India technology corridor and how AI is fundamentally reshaping global business operations. Umesh had shed light on the concept of moving from a "knowledge economy" to an "intuition economy and argues that as AI automates routine cognitive tasks and data processing, the premium for human workers will shift toward high-level decision-making, emotional intelligence, and creative problem-solving. Umesh highlights that for AI to serve billions, it must be built on frameworks of trust and security, allowing enterprises to utilize AI without compromising their proprietary data. As an Indian born entreprenuer now leading a Silicon Valley AI company, Umesh speaks to India’s position as the world's third-largest startup ecosystem. He explains how Indian B2B SaaS companies are no longer just "back-office" support but are leading global innovation, particularly in voice-based and multilingual AI. Meeting your literary hero! I grew up on the profound works of the inimitable @SalmanRushdie and the power of magical realism would manifest itself in my living room in its own surreal way. My introduction to the literary genius that Mr. Rushdie is, was when I first received a copy of “Haroun and the Sea of Stories” on my eleventh birthday. Since then, his writing gripped and inspired me in ways which ironically words can’t describe. My father too, like Mr. Rushdie is a “Midnight’s Child”. Born exactly a month after his own birthday, (June 19, 1947), as he was born on July 19, 1947 and a month before India attained independence. A serendipitous encounter like a profound literary work reminded me of the power of the raconteur and in a world with finite attention spans, AI and dwindling creativity, meeting Mr. Rushdie is a sobering reminder of why raconteurs and stories matter. It’s redolent of what George Bernard Shaw once said: “I write for the same reason a cow gives milk”, alluding to a cathartic process of writing as a necessity more than just a choice - necessary release of our perspectives, feelings and opinions. What can I say, for Mr. Rushdie’s courage and conviction have proved - the pen is truly mightier than the “Knife”.

Best line from this: "Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge is real. Sunderland’s survival optimism is real. Granit Xhaka’s impact is real."

It's that perilous time of the year, when #Arsenal is playing against "Arsenal". In 2022-23 "The team accumulated 84 points and, with nine games left, had an eight-point lead over Manchester City. “And we missed winning the league" - good read on #Xhaka. nytimes.com/athletic/67763…

"At last August's Japan-India summit, the two sides set a goal of achieving 10 trillion yen ($62.6 billion) in private-sector investment in India over the next decade. Lest we forget, there's a reason it's called "Socratic Method. Socrates' worldly wisdom was displayed through his oral teachings, which were passed down to Plato, who then taught Aristotle. Apropos of philosophy, AI shouldn't mean we don't stop asking Why? washingtonpost.com/education/2025…
