Saturday will be the quieter (by far) day of the upcoming weekend. NW breeze will have some giddy-up to it at 10-20 mph. Snow moves in early Sunday morning and will hang around all day. 4-8" possible in the mountains with 2-4" for most everyone else, sans the County.

The mega ridge out west will send temperatures soaring for locations under it. That ridge lends itself to a 'troughier' pattern for New England. That'll translate to a cooler & more active pattern, possibly through the remainder of March, in Maine.

The first day of Spring will come with a round of snow and cold rain for Maine. 1-3" into the higher terrain & north. Probably a cold rain in York County with a wet slushy snow along the coast. Precip exits to the east by around 11p FRI in W Maine and by 3a SAT in E Maine.

Into Thursday morning, some subtle wind convergence and perhaps some ocean enhancement may lead to sparse snow shower production. These will likely move in to the Casco Bay/Midcoast region and drift inland.

The Piscataquis River between Medford and Howland is experiencing flooding, due to an ice jam. The river is out of its banks along parts of Maxfield Road and North Howland Road. Be vigilant along the river in these locations.

@stang2005gt Yes, lots of apps out there! I try to talk about it when I know weather will permit a decent view, which is usually on slower weather days. Appreciate the “heads up” 😆

The ISS will make a pass north of Maine, but should be visible about 36° up from the northern horizon. Time to watch is between 7:29p and 7:36p. It will look like a slow moving star. There are some clouds in the mountains but tonight should offer decent viewing.

Tuesday's high temps in Maine will come before sunrise. A cold front sweeping the state pre-dawn TUE will send temps into the 40s in the morning and 30s in the aftn. It'll also kick rain to the east by sunrise & give us some sun for St Patrick's Day; albeit with a chilly W breeze

Temperatures will slide into the 40s and 30s Tuesday, in the wake of a cold front sweeping the state Tuesday morning. The front will also kick rain east and bring a brisk west breeze at 10-20 mph; gusts up around 30 mph at times.

Southerly, on-shore winds will be gusty overnight. The Penobscot Bay region & parts of coastal Hancock and Washington Counties could have a few gusts approach 60 mph. A few power outages possible.
