Pre watered with 2.5in through the pivot, fertilized and planted, as a result of mother natures generosity I get the privilege of watering again in order to get the crop to germinate, Just thankful diesels cheap 👌,I now understand the definition of cruel and unusual punishment.

@corn_porkNbeans Hang in there! It’ll all work out, trust me. Hell, we’re still strip tilling grazed out cornstalks and still grazing some, we’re behind the pace because it’s so dry we had to water to work the ground. Relax and enjoy some free time, this too shall pass.

The inner battle of trying to be a good farmer, do what’s agronomically/economically right vs the calendar vs watching the neighbors go like hell is real. It’s so wet. It’s been a week since our last 1.25” but saturation and lack of drying weather hasn’t moved the needle too much. Today helped but we are far from good. Need more tile bad. Currently just over 60% planted on beans. 0% planted on corn. #plant26

I’m thankful for the moisture we did get but .30 doesn’t do much for this extreme drought. Firing pivots back up today to water what’s been planted and pre watering on some unplanted acres. Drought continues on in Sumner NE.

At this point it’s not even satire or poor me it just won’t rain in sumner right now period. Driest spring I can remember around here.

Idk if my stations 100% accurate or official but we had 100% chance of rain last night turn into zero…if we don’t get some rain in central Nebraska things could get interesting around here. Haven’t even had an inch of rain on the year yet…we are in a major hole!
