@miconm @accidentalSBM Yes I thought I was over counting which is why I doubted it was 7/12ths rather than full year funding…..will be interesting to see how all the different grants play out in the 25/26 funding formula but we’ll take the good news for this year as budgets were feeling tight!

@AlexGraham_ @accidentalSBM It’s much more generous than I expected & all the other grants are confirmed too (TPAG, TPECG & Post 16 TPECG). Keep thinking I’m over counting something.

Yeah! They thought headroom was around 2.5 - 3%. Think I went for 3.5% in assumptions. Certainly was above 3%. Still need to check but hopefully this will work out ok for our trust

@miconm Not ideal timing but seems in line with assumptions we’d made that >4% would be funded so additional funding should match extra cost overall for us (pending knock on impact). At least they’ve given clarity on funding by school so we can understand the impact!

Trust approved by board yesterday. Payrise for teachers announced today 🤷🏻‍♀️ Glad I held my nerve (& persuaded Exec & directors to hold theirs ) over likely funding. We’ll be in a neutral position at least.

Thanks to @imp_software again for providing the tools to work out changes quickly….overall funding appears aligned to our budget assumptions but sure they’ll be winners and losers though and could have huge knock on impact for support staff so hope future funding reflects that…

@miconm @accidentalSBM Makes it so hard to plan properly. Assumptions for 24/25 are even harder to predict. Glad we implemented @imp_software to help work through different scenarios. I expect some winners and losers from a grant as impact of pay award will depend on split of teacher/ support staff.

@accidentalSBM So, government evidence indicated affordability at 3.5 - 4%. I’m assuming a higher payrise will come with a teacher pay grant. I literally can’t lose sleep over it now if that’s not the case…
