A tragedy has befallen ASU's football team and community. Assistant strength coach Steven Miller, a former Sun Devil OL (2015-19) and Gilbert HS graduate, died last night. Miller was loved by ASU's players. He'd had some medical issues recently. Today's practice was canceled.

The transfer portal opens tomorrow. One name two sources mentioned to me in Las Vegas: Sounds like Cullen Potter (Flames) will enter. And a little surprisingly, one source mentioned Michigan State, where Potter was previously committed before decommitting and landing at ASU.

Utah has the lead. Somehow, in a wild twist of events, the Utes have an eight-run inning and counting. 13-12 Utah after a 2-RBI single.
The bases are loaded. Tying run 90 feet from scoring after a walk. Guy now gets pulled for Buxton. Somehow, Utah is one swing from taking a 3-run lead.
Another run scores for Utah on a short grounder that no Sun Devil could get to. Tying run is on base. Potential go-ahead run at the plate as well. 12-11 ASU, two out, top nine.
Colby Guy now on the mound, Utah gets another run via a sacrifice grounder to first. Two out, runner on third. 12-10 ASU.
RBI single on the next pitch and just like that, the potential tying run is at the plate. 12-9 ASU. One out, top nine.
