Technical reports is not science. Science is peer-reviewed. Elon has also published a lot of Tesla user's manuals, so what? Also a boss who doesn't do any science but who makes the researchers put his name on the paper is like a parasite. You cannot be a manager, spend hours on twitter and on TV, and write 80 quality scientific papers in 2 years. No way.

@NathanpmYoung Not too mentioned that many of his papers are just preprints. So not even peer reviewed. Also that amount of papers is impossible. Clearly used slave labour or paper mills.

According to Yann: A man who builds rockets, electric cars and more, is not doing science because it isn't published. This is how deep the "science = journals" rot goes. I don't need publications on the rockets, I can watch them take off live!
