Some people are still not getting it, so can we make some things clear here: • If men can be considered women in law, women cease to exist as a category. • LGB is about sexual orientation, TQ is about identity. If you can identity as a sexual orientation, eg, be a heterosexual man claiming to be a lesbian, homosexuality ceases to exist. • Childhood is about developing a sense of self & exploration. Medicalizing children based on a sex-based stereotype & declaring it “gender identity” is one of the most profound child abuses one can commit. None of the bullshit of gender identity ideology works in law or society. If you’re on the side of it, it’s your job to work out how to make it work without taking away rights from anyone else. I need to make something clear. This is a textbook example of why people end up despising the left. Yusuf is making valid points in this interview, and all Debbonaire can do is sneer and go out of her way to act contemptuous. This plays well with her audience - I see people applauding her for putting a political enemy in his place - but that is not how it appears to anybody outside your close knit tribe. She appears childish and stupid. But this is standard behaviour for a lot of left wingers who ought to know better - try and establish some kind of dominance by endlessly talking down to the opponent, acting as if they are obviously wrong and dumb and it’s so tiresome to deal with it. Very rarely is this accompanied with any actual facts or argument. Can people learn to behave properly in public? I see this immature behaviour all the time on Question Time - trying to undermine a speaker by pulling faces all the time. How about acting like a grownup instead?
