Imagine police trying to evict you from your own home. It happened to Carmelia Charington who is fighting to keep her family home in Bedford-Sty, NYC. The brownstone has been in her family for 60 years and it’s owned outright, no mortgage. Deed Theft can happen to anyone. Fraudsters go through government housing records and find homes that are paid by off. file false documents and get the Deed transferred over to them. Then they can take a mortgage out on the house or get the owner evicted so it can be resold or even lived in by another party for rent purposes. Charington’s Father who lives in Georgia, had the residence taken by a conservator named 227 Group LLC. Without his knowledge, the conservator had the elderly man declared incapacitated and then filed false documents with the court. Now Carmelia is fighting a huge legal battle to keep the home. on 4/27/26, police broke into a he gone by breaking locks and dragging Charington out. Then boards were to be put on the windows and doors so none could enter. Neighbors stopped the police from evicting the woman. The we man is in the house until the court makes decision on the situation. A large group gathered in front of the home where the city marshal and NYPD were trying to throw Charington out. They would NOT allow the eviction to happen. 1,500 scams such as this have happened in Brooklyn alone since 2014. Usually it happens to the elderly whose properties are owned outright. Over four years (roughly 2020–2023), there were over 58,000 complaints of real estate fraud (which includes deed/title issues), with combined losses exceeding $1.3 billion. • In 2024, the FBI received 9,359 complaints specifically for title or deed theft, with reported losses of about $173.6 million. "Take back some control"?!? I don't want some control. I want each and every one of them thrown out on their asses. I want 98% of laws completely trashed. I want a complete end to 98% of government agencies and programs. I want there to be 0 career politicians and 0 lobbyists. I want absolute term limits on every level of government. If the government thinks they have any power or control they will continue to take more. The government was supposed to have been instituted to protect our rights. Give them an inch they WILL take a mile.
