If you want voter ID at the polls you need to make the required ID free. Otherwise you’re charging people to vote and that’s called a poll tax. The fascists are against a free ID because it’s not about securing elections it’s about creating obstacles for poor people.

@Tactical_review Actually, they shouldn’t. 2A is grounded in a natural right: self-defense and the capacity thereof. Voting is a civil right (a contractual privilege granted to a specific group). You do not have an intrinsic and inalienable authority to dictate how others live their lives.

Voting and buying a firearm should have the exact same requirements. We either walk in and do each, no ID required Or, each has a background check, ID required, minimum age 21, waiting periods. Pick one.

Oh, sure. Let me first find a machine gun manufactured before 1986 actually for sale, mortgage my house to pay for it, get fingerprinted, pass the background check after cooling my heels for the 18 month wait, pay the $200 tax stamp, and hit up my local FFL to pick it up. That's SO MUCH EASIER than grabbing my birth certificate and marriage license and toddling down to the voter registrar.
