@AdAstra_2024 AFRY therefore used the study appropriately and sparingly as a general reference to historical construction risks—not as a basis for its own cost estimates or recommendations. AFRY’s own analyses are based primarily on actual European project data and not on this study.

@AdAstra_2024 No, I have no problem wth it bc AFRY cited it once and only as a general risk indicator. There is no problem with that, period. AFRY didn’t exclude the APR-1400. This Finland-specific study focuses only on reactor designs 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 licensable 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲.

@AnStra14 Why do they exclude the Southkorean APR-1400/1000 which is getting built in the Czech Republic? According to Sovacool the historical cost overrun of all nuclear reactors is +103%, a number which is as highly questionable as his mean Lifecycle-CO2 of 65 grams per kWh for nuclear.
