Rebecca Maher kindly shares Matilda's story now at the NOCA Annual Conference 2025. Matilda Quinn was born in 2015 with a severe heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Despite early surgeries and moments of hope, her health declined after her second operation. She spent time at home, gaining strength and sharing joy with her parents, before postoperative complications led to a difficult return to hospital. At nearly 8 months, guided by medical advice, her family made the heartbreaking decision to let her go. Though they still grieve, Matilda’s legacy lives on.
