PlayStyles Have Completely Changed FC Mobile – Here’s What You Need to Know (and Why You MUST Practice) You can check my pinned post for a link to my guide The World’s Game Update dropped PlayStyles on May 27th, and it’s honestly the biggest gameplay shake-up we’ve seen in years. Forget just chasing raw OVR or attributes – every player now has a real on-pitch personality that you can see and feel in every match. Glowing icons pop above players in real time, and after you score you get a quick replay showcase showing exactly which PlayStyles triggered the goal. Each player card comes with fixed PlayStyles (you can’t assign or change them yourself). Players have either 1 Gold and 1 Silver, or just 1 Gold, or just 1 Silver. Silver gives a solid, noticeable boost. Gold is the premium version with extra animations, higher success rates, and way more impact – a player with Gold Bruiser + Silver Guardian will feel completely different for example from one with only Silver versions of the same styles. This system has transformed squad building and matches: Finishing PlayStyles (Finesse Expert, Clinical Finisher, Power Shot, etc.) make shots feel custom. Passing ones (Tiki Taka, Bullet Pass, Whipped Cross) change how build-up flows. Ball Control (Rapid, Trickster), Defending (Anticipate, Guardian), Physical (Accelerator, Bruiser, Relentless), and even GK-specific ones all add unique flair. The meta has shifted – each player can feel night-and-day depending on which PlayStyles they have. Biggest advice: PRACTICE with every new player and PlayStyle you pull.Don’t just slap a shiny new card into your squad and hope. Jump in and test how they actually move, shoot, pass, and defend with your playstyle. One player’s Gold Rapid might feel explosive for you, while another’s Gold Trickster clicks better for skill-move merchants. Synergies matter more than ever now. Pro tip for testing right now: Head to Scouting Camp – you can currently use the UTOTS team to try out players you don’t even own yet in proper H2H matches. From Thursday, when the World’s Game event itself fully kicks off, even more testing options will open up. The only way to master this update is to get reps in. Experiment in Quick Match with friends – you’ll quickly figure out which PlayStyles match how you like to play.
