What is your beef? I've heard from dozens of others how I've hurt their feelings by commenting on this pool thing; but to save us time I've cover the three issues I inferred in my 153 character response. 1) The pool is not meant to be micro-managed by the US President, it is meant to be administrated by the Parks service, a division of the US Department of the Interior, isn't it? 2) The legal excuse that the Trump administration has cited for Trump to micro-manage the pool, is invalid. Invalid because Trump has not claimed the Pool is essential to a war (he has had Congress endorse), or is a national disaster (that he has directed FEMA to respond to), or was killing people or otherwise posing an injury that only he instead of the National Park Service or Dep't of the Interior could handle; has he? Instead of implementing US law which is his job, he has exploited his title as President to stop a pipe replacement program, and had the pool emptied and painted instead of replacing said pipes; isn't that correct? He said this would be cheaper and a better solution, didn't he. 3) Trump did not undertake a DBB but gave a no-bid contract to his pool buddy that he said would cost 1.5 or maybe 2 million, but which has now cost more than ten $million; isn't that also correct? Somehow my 153 character response has so injured you, that you too felt you have to add your two bits, that's fine, noone's stopping you, but seeming you're bending people's ear, be so kind as to at least explain what the f you're bitching about.

A reasonable question, congratulations 🎉 Your pool is one of a thousand things your administration is using to distract people while actively trying to dismantle the world order established since 1945; Donald's Monroe Doctrine dream is not a fashion choice, 1) he is trying to undo the laws & rules upon which all US and Western wealth has been built on for the past eighty years; 2) Pre-1945 the US was engaged in 1.3 wars/border conflicts within the Americas per decade, post-1945 it dropped to 0.9 conflicts per decade; 2a) try to understand this, the 'United Nations' was not designed as a police force, nor as a world government to seize control of your laws - anyone telling you otherwise is LYING and has an agenda they are CONCEALING using fabrications about the UN as a smoke screen; 2b) the United Nations is a forum, for international discussions, there wasn't one before it. The #1 principle of the UN Charter to to respect each nation's sovereignty of their own affairs - the UN has NEVER & can NEVER create any US law or Australian law or any other law. There's no UN mechanism for it & it would violate the UN Carter for members to try to do so. 2c) the UN Charter is a law that countries have a choice of adopting, it does NOT outlaw war, it discourages war, but can not and does not outlaw war, if members really want to go to war they can, the Charter merely asks that they attempt to resolve their disagreements at the forum before resorting to lobbing bombs at each other. 2d) the #2 UN Charter principle is the concept is an anti-slavery concept, that UN members agree they no longer "own" the people in colonies. That the US should net trade the people of the Philippines for example. For this change of concept since 1945 (the UN Charter) we now consider that colony is not property of the UN member that has military control over it (the 19th century concept), but that a colony is a 'trust' territory that the UN member is administrating until the territory is able to administrate its own affairs. Those are the two most fundamental concepts of the 'new world order' in which everyone would have fewer wars and be able to spend more of their resources on developing domestic wealth and improved living conditions. The US has benefited from the United Nations more than any other nation because of an historical happenstance, the US came out of WW-II with the world's largest military and a new image which attracted people seeking a new beginning and/or freedoms. Helping to maintain the new world order is in the financial interests of the US and every other nation engaged in global trade. Opposed to this were the 'communist' nations (principally Russia, China) although they wanted to pretend they too support public welfare and increasing their people's wealth rather than their military ability to invade and expand their borders. Something Americans have never understood, is that the 'communist' / 'capitalist' labels are BS, the issue is that Russia & China were expansionists as opposed to the US and western powers that really were no longer trying to expand their borders... western powers can get 90% of the benefit by trade instead of war. Donald Trump is pushing the agenda that Putin & Xi want, an agenda that f's everyone else.

Trump has falsely used a provision for seizing control during times of war or disaster, or preventing imminent serious injury. The pool was in the same condition as in his first term, there was no new or urgent need, and he had not gone to Congress to declare war needing the pool, nor had FEMA been called for some pool related disaster. Yes it's an illegal seizure of control from the Parks Service and Dept of Interior. The leaking was reduced from 500 to 300 thousand gallons a week by the 2009/2012 work, Trump didn't do anything about it during his first term, independently of the White House the Parks service had planned to replace the leaking pipes, Trump has stopped that work in order to paint the pool; the pipes are still leaking. He hasn't fixed the problem, he has prolonged it.
