I’m seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday’s UFC event and all I can say is that I’m devastated.
I was there to see the fights and when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello and that’s when the exchanged happened. I did not know them or about them before that moment.

I can comprehend it just fine, it’s just highly unlikely.
The number of generations required to sustain such a voyage would render most genetic selection useless after enough successive generations. And I’m not convinced genetic predisposition is really the problem.
It’s a social/psychological problem. After 1000 years people would be doubting if there ever even was an earth and wondering if life exists outside their spaceship. You would need to enforce such tight social cohesion that it would be extremely oppressive.
