@aether_lite @HadesRise @BiscuitBasher Scripted gameplay is not the same as criticizing the writing. It’s a complaint about how the gameplay is predictable once you beat the game once or twice. The player knows the jump scares. The Girl isn’t scary anymore and even that little chase scene with Mr X is scripted

@Pinballforlive @HadesRise @BiscuitBasher I didn’t. It’s not a scene I really explored even. And it’s not really a gameplay only thing when you’re forced to shoot a mutated Emily. And I’ve seen people say that the shots do look like they miss her heart 🤷

A better example would be from RE7-8, with the healing juice also having a story explanation. Nice assumptions as well. I like RE9 for the most part; I just think a few things hold it back
