Conversations were either unverifiable because there were only 2 people present or because the people in the room were there to protect each other, not the athlete(s), are relied upon in manipulative environments. I was there 2 advocate for an athlete who had no other advocates.

What does it mean to be a coach? Teacher? Partner? Advocate? Protector? Guide? Ally? Scientist? Inventor? I think you wear many hats in order to find a way through the sport jungle and always remember there is a “right” tool for each job.

Sometimes I wonder what my old man would say about the situation @AryFonta and I are facing both as man and wife as well as partners in success on the field of play. I like to think he’d say, keep the team close, protect the fam, keep making good decisions, and never look back.
