Web3 gaming has failed repeatedly for one reason: - The game was built around the token, not the fun. - The projects getting it right now build the game first. - Ownership is a feature, not the product. That order of operations matters more than any tech stack.

@rajovenor This filters out noise but also makes it harder for new users to break in. Trade-off is real.

The old playbook for airdrops is dead. Liking tweets and joining Discords gets you nothing serious anymore. Projects now track on-chain behavior, bridging activity, liquidity provided, swap volume, wallet age. The bar went up and honestly that is a good thing.

The best Web3 UX decision you can make right now: - Don't ask users to install anything. - Don't mention gas. - Don't show them a transaction hash. Make it feel like a Web2 app. Let the blockchain be the backend secret.

Hot take that is actually lukewarm: most new L2s launching in 2026 do not need to exist. The ones that survive long term are the ones with a real application reason to be their own chain, not just a fork looking for a community

Build log #32: Community Marketing System We directly integrated the Twitter API into our protocol. The goal is to reward our users who promote the project. They earn points that can be converted into $EPI at the time of the snapshot. Objective: build an active community.

The narrative I am watching closely is the intersection of AI +web3 infra Not the hype version where every project slaps "AI" on its whitepaper The interesting one where decentralized networks are being used to coordinate AI compute, verify AI outputs or reward data contributions

Stablecoins on @base cost less than $0.01 per transaction. SWIFT wire costs $25–50 and takes 3 days. We're not talking about replacing banks in theory anymore. The infra is already better. Distribution is the last gap.

Hot take: wallets are a temporary UX pattern. In 5 years, nobody will "open their wallet." They'll just use an app that happens to hold their assets on-chain. The wallet disappears. The ownership stays.

The real bottleneck to Web3 mass adoption isn't the tech. It's the first 90 seconds of the user experience. Fix that. Everything else follows.

Something i noticed: the best web3 founders spend almost no time on CT they're building. The accounts with 50k followers updating every 2 hours? Usually the weakest product not always. But enough to be a pattern

For me, the gap between "interested in web3" and "actually using web3" is still huge, and it's almost entirely a UX problem. -> gas fees, seed phrases, bridge confusion. We know the problems, the solutions are slow...

Right now, account abstraction is live on @base, @zksync or @arbitrum . No seed phrase. Gas paid by the app. Login with Face ID. The UX excuse officially expired with those solution! So why are most new apps still shipping 2021 onboarding?

unpopular opinion: Solana winning on consumer apps and Ethereum winning on institutional settlement isn't a competition. it's a market finding its natural split, both can be right.

@NextMoveCrypto Story gets you the first million in TVL. Protocol mechanics keep it there. Conflating the two is how you end up with a ghost chain 18 months later.

Something i think CT gets wrong, confusing narrative momentum with protocol durability. A good story gets you attention, good fees keep you alive. They're not the same thing.

We've seen this cycle before. 2018. 2022. Now. The market going quiet isn't the end, it's when the real builders separate from the noise. The best opportunities are always built in silence!
Suraj Sharma@suraj_sharma14

To every Web3 builder who's quietly struggling right now. You're not posting about it. You're not tweeting "Day 30 of grinding." You're just sitting there refreshing your email waiting for a response that isn't coming. I see you. The market is rough. Funding dried up. Hiring is frozen. Your mass DMs to founders go unanswered. Your applications disappear into the void. Your mass imposter syndrome keeps telling you maybe you're not good enough. Here's what I want you to hear: You're not struggling because you're not talented. You're struggling because the market contracted and 10 talented people are now competing for every 1 seat. That's not a you problem. That's a market problem. But here's what separates the builders who survive downturns from the ones who don't: The survivors don't wait for permission. → They build without a job title → They contribute to open source without being asked → They write about what they're learning even when nobody reads it → They pick up bounties instead of waiting for salaries → They show up in communities and help others without expecting anything back And then one day, a founder sees their GitHub. A protocol lead reads their thread. A recruiter finds their profile. And the DM comes. Not because they applied. Because they were visible. Because they kept going when it was easiest to stop. I'm not saying this to motivate you with empty words. I'm saying this because I've literally watched this happen to people I know. In 2018. In 2022. And it's happening again now. The ones who kept building during the bear market? They're running teams today. So if nobody has told you this week: → Your skills are real → The market will turn → The work you're doing in silence right now matters more than you think → Don't go back to something you hate just because the timeline feels slow Keep building. Keep shipping. Keep showing up. The market always comes back to the ones who didn't leave. Follow @suraj_sharma14 I share Web3 opportunities, grants, hackathons and resources for builders every week. You don't have to figure this out alone.

@_clemens__ 100%. And that's the silent killer in Web3. Most builders are so deep in their own vision they forget UX isn't a final step, it's the whole game.

what matters is an exciting seamless user experience that brings joy - if you have that, distribution will take care of itself. Leaning on distribution of ecosystems helps with the first 1000 users, the rest is on you.
nairolf@0xNairolf

choose your fighter but honestly for consumer apps, base or solana doesnt matter that much both are good, both have strong ecosystems, both have active communities what matters is distribution, not the one the chain gives you but the one it helps you build
