My thesis work from @Aoto_Lab is out! Here, we show that acute stress causes sex-specific adaptations to ventral subiculum synapses and behaviors. Critically, these sex-specific changes were driven by distinct signaling pathways. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Eric Stokes' (@egstokes7) first paper is out: jneurosci.org/content/44/41/…! Using a suite of multidisciplinary approaches, Eric characterized a residue in neurexin-3 alpha that regulates trans-synaptic interactions. Thanks to Jaewon Ko and Hyeonho Kim for the collaboration!

My thesis work from the @Aoto_Lab reveals profound sex differences in how acute stress is encoded at synapses, circuitry, and anxiety-like behavior. These findings contribute to our understanding of sex-dependent adaptations that may shape stress-related psychiatric disease risk.
