@SketchesbyBoze I am willing to wager that these talking point are seeded by the right using bots/astroturfers. The playbook of the right is to keep them stupid, sick, and poor. This is an anti-intellectual aim that also serves to fracture the left turning us against ourselves in these debates.

On Threads they’re debating whether using big words is ableist. I’m sick of this anti-intellectualism masquerading as social justice. People are making excuses to avoid having to do anything hard, but at some point you have to grow up and read and learn and challenge yourself.

@pocketbuck Anne was very limited by the time the books were written - she went AS FAR as she could for a MASS MARKET book. , and even as society loosened she'd already established the asexual canon. I think that the show is incredibly faithful to the vibe.

@liveloveijbol And ultimately I don't think, to Louis, it's about Bruce, or Bruce's internal life. It's about seeking closure. I think that's especially apparent when he BURNS the diary pages at the end of the scene. Like by killing Bruce he is trying to undo the harm he's done.
