This is me on the left with my beloved cousin, whom I lost last week. He would be alive if there was no Islamic regime. I’m writing this with tearful eyes. The whole world ignores the fact that thousands of innocent civilians—including kids, orphans, and pregnant women—are dying just so the IRGC ideology survives. And they haven’t been protesting Christians being massacred in Syria, again, by Muslims, another genocide. So if they’re not protesting these genocides, what genocide are they protesting? They’re not. They’re protesting Israel’s response to being attacked on Oct 7. They’re pushing out lies and propaganda about Israel’s response to try and convince the world that Israel is evil and that there’s a “genocide” to turn people’s opinions against Israel. Why has Hamas never once differentiated between terrorists killed in the war and civilians who have lost their lives? Are we to believe no terrorists or militants have been killed? When you look logically at it, the only reasonable explanation is that there’s an agenda to these protests and none of it is about genocide. None of it is even about Palestine. My father's life "began" the day he got married, or at least there was an absolute taboo about whatever happened to him before 1965... except some small lapsus from time to time. When in fourth grade they took us to the TV room to show us a documentary on the Holocaust, I desperately looked at the images, trying to find someone who looked like my father or his sister... because there was literally nobody in their world.(G.d forbid we had any book or article vaguely related at home. We never bought anything made in Germany, and although my parents did encourage me to learn German, the look on their faces taught me very fast NOT to speak it at home even though they were fluent (we talked with Tante M, stuck forever in her 1930s wie-einst Lili-Marlene dream, but that's another story). I'll never buy a house with only one exit. And here I am, encouraging a German woman to defend her Heimat. Howcome? Germany, as a country, made honorable amends. Took responsibility.
