Sorry but this is one of the most undeserved Masters wins in history… Rory literally played Augusta every day for a month straight before the tournament. How is this allowed by the USGA?

Maybe getting the opportunity to play Augusta National unlimited times the month leading into The Masters, while skipping three straight tournaments, gave Rory McIlroy an unfair advantage over the other competitors… Just maybe. Congrats, or whatever.

@uxcle I love the Masters too. It's not on terrestrial TV and I take a month's subscription out to watch it, as I did for the Ryder cup. The Open is on BBC so I can watch that without subscription. We have great friends living in Augusta. Tom was in charge of the parking at the Masters!

@robert1lefty I'm really proud to be able to follow a Scot and see you play well on the world stage. I don't want you to be uncouth and disrespectful though. Years ago, I went to The Masters and I know its vibe. Foul language and obscene gestures will ruin your fanbase at home.

@uxcle I'm a bit freaked by Rory treading water yesterday while everyone else surged forward! There are so many worthies in the mix now. I hope Rory comes out today, guns blazing and it makes for an exciting finale! Enjoy it! (It finishes so late here, I'll struggle to stay up for it)

I never really understood why some people didn't like Rory. Now I kind of see it.

Just loving reading the comments from Americans who love to hate McIlroy! Me? - I'm a fan! Being European (I won't say British because McIlroy identifies as Irish not British, though from Belfast) I just want him to do well - and Justin, Shane and Tommy! #Masters

When I went to bed last night, Rory McIlroy had just birdied the 12th. So I missed the amazing flourish of 6 birdies to finish his round! Well done, Rory! I would love to see you winning the green jacket again this year. #Masters

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
