This is exactly the problem.
A man has allegedly been languishing in Kirikiri since 2019 over a false rape accusation, and your first instinct is to turn it into a gender talking point? “Nigerian men’s help are needed”? Justice is not a male responsibility or a female responsibility. It is a societal responsibility.
A “woman” lied and an innocent man’s life wasting away behind bars, this is not a moment to score points or lecture men. This is a moment to demand accountability, legal urgency, and moral consistency. Rinu, you cannot claim to fight for justice, while framing an innocent man’s suffering as something “men should fix for themselves.”
This is not about feminism. It’s not about men. It’s about an innocent human being sitting in prison for six years. You cannot claim to stand for fairness and equality while distancing yourself the moment the victim is male.

This is where Nigerian men’s help are needed. Feminists cannot do all the work for you. A man has been in Kirikiri since 2019 falsely accused of rape! Help get him released.

A man has been in Kirikiri prison since 2019 for rape. His accuser later admitted she lied. She now refuses to appear in court. Six years later, he remains behind bars, and is losing his mind. This is Louise’s story. @Mochievous @henri_Siloni @InibeheEffiong @AWJAI_official @AmnestyNigeria @UN_Women

I was on a train and a pregnant woman was asking for a seat. I offered mine, but she said she couldn’t sit there because it was in the center and she was already feeling nauseous and suffocated. So she asked a guy at the corner. He said, “You can sit on my lap.” Before anyone could react, a grandma behind him tapped his shoulder and said, “Then I’ll sit on YOUR lap.” She sat on his lap, the pregnant woman took the grandma’s seat, and the entire train witnessed instant justice delivered by a 70-year-old legend.
