Coaches Spotlight:
Coach Clay Burton, TE/Strength and Conditioning
Coach Burton is entering his 9th season on the Venice High School football staff. He is the Head of Strength and Conditioning as well as the Tight Ends coach. Coach Burton is a 2011 Venice High School graduate. During his time as a student at VHS, Burton was a team captain and recipient of the Jim Powell Team MVP Award. He also earned all-area and all-state honors. Attended the University of Florida on a full athletic scholarship where he played Tight End and lettered all four years.

First off, I would like to start by thanking God for putting me in the position that I am in today. I also want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey and my life. With that being said, I am decommitting with Samford University, and Committing with The Naval Academy. I know this decision is the best one for me and my future, and I am very excited to continue on to play Division 1 football at the next level.
