But if you look more into it this issue seems less about protecting children and more of harvesting our information more then anything else.

Look, it's not up to us to have a perfect answer. Wanna know who is responsible for having an answer? Parents are responsible for protecting their own kids. Websites are responsible for handling illegal things posted on their site.

We are banning social media access for under 16s.

As for their cellphones? Maybe if you are afraid of your kids getting into bad shit use parental controls and punish kids if you see they been trying to get around it.

The best we can do is report what you find so that those in charge does something about it.
But this is a dystopian way to handle these issues that violates our right to privacy and puts sensitive info at risk when data breeches happen.

Parents should be the ones monitoring their kids not the government. This is just government control and creates vulnerabilities to sensitive user data..

1) He didn't ban bluesky, so it's not all of social media. And worse, there has been pedophila and child porn on there, so if he really cared, they should be banned as well.
