@TheJittering 6. Major plot holes... when Vaggi's assault was incredibly fast and traumatized her so maybe she doesn't think on it often. And Adam's a piece of shit who wanted the hotel to suffer. We also dunno how much power he spent to use that move on Pentious.

@AustaAfterAll 6. There are major plot holes like how Vaggie didn’t realize that angelic weapons harm angels when she herself was harmed with one and how Adam took care of Sir Pentious with a simple lifting of his hand, but didn’t care to attack anyone else with that power.

Hazbin Hotel is genuinely a good show. It's very enjoyable. If i may talk about this for a moment, seeing constant videos and content hating on the Hellaverse make me wonder and second guess myself.

@AustaAfterAll Here are some issues with the show: 1. The show depicts rape as a bad thing (as it should), while also having rape jokes which is very contradictory and tone deaf 2. Charlie has the emotional intelligence and maturity of a kid despite being a grown ass woman 3. The pacing sucks

@TheJittering 1. Rape is bad. A joke is a joke. Dunno if ya know this, but victims often make jokes to cope. This show has been made by people who've experienced SA. 2. Princess of Hell is whimsical like a Disney Princess and has to learn about complexities of humans like the angels.

Also when people rightfully called out the sir pentious sa joke that came right after the angel dust episode she just swept it under the rug.

I used to be in that mindset, but then I was able meet new people, make new friends, and reconnect with old ones I haven't seen since high-school unironically through these shows. The trick is to block out most of the noise and enjoy it with people you care about. #Hellaverse

@SophiePinkStar That said, it's no wonder Val starts to worry, close himself off (even physically in Ep 6) and keeping to himself when Vox's cameras are turned. This isn't like Vox and it's hurtful. Worse, Val feels like he doesn't measure up to Vox's brightness. No wonder he doesn't eat.

BOUNCING OFF OF THIS. Vox seems to be aware that Val needs to eat more than himself and Vel. I imagine he’s tried talking to Val about it before, but it just doesn’t compute in Val’s brain so Vox switched directions. Val seems to have an “if they can eat, I can eat” mentality-

Something I randomly think about: Valentino is the only full organic one of the Vees. Vox is partially organic in that he bleeds and such but ultimately he can just survive as his head. Velvette is a doll. Valentino is the only one who has to diet and keep his figure.

@SophiePinkStar It's the thought that counts. It is sweet to see Vox care so much and put the effort in. Even nervously getting Val two different meals just in case. Even if Vox can't express himself openly, as Rosie said, actions speak louder than words. Which Val seems to understand.

@iBeNerdy64 @6Hollowlights6 Of course and I'm sure the criticisms are welcome but anything genuine is usually hidden behind 50,000 vids of hate filled, inflammatory clickbait titles. I'm sure Vivzie takes the criticism to heart but also youtubers could learn to be more genuine.

@tonoradish Understandable. I do think the world building rules could be definitely more concrete but i don't think it stops the show from being good. Just not as elaborated on but as you said, that could smooth out down the line. I hope people talk more about more episodes in between.

@AustaAfterAll As for what makes it not “good.” I think I want stronger world building. As a fic writer a lot of what I’m working with is based on conjecture and theory. Like I wish Hazbin had more concrete “rules.” Also a lot of big emotional moments don’t get time to be big or emotional.

@tonoradish It's subjective, but considering the beautiful animation, the intriguing characters, premise, the evolving writing and the amazing music, I would call it good. Better than the sum of its parts. But I respect your opinion too.

@AustaAfterAll I find the show very enjoyable. I think the hate is forced. That being said, I’m not sure I’d call it a good show. But I’m letting a lot slide because I know Amazon has them in chains. Like we SPRINT through a lot of stuff. I’d like more breathing room for characters.

@Ne02md I would say it's pretty subjective. f From my perspective, it's a show with gorgeous design, animation, voice acting, intriguing characters and villains, and lovely music. I would say all those things make it pretty good. The pacing can use work but those things can improve.
