Take today’s session as an example: -> The standard setups just weren't printing early on. -> But the Initial Balance statistics were heavily skewed toward a bearish draw, and the order flow confirmed the distribution. -> Instead of forcing a trade out of boredom, I set a strict parameter: if price pushes into the Opening Gap and perfectly aligns with my iFVG, I get short. Trading without a statistical baseline is not a strategy. It is a systematic transfer of your capital to a quantitative fund. Most retail traders wake up, draw subjective lines on a 5-minute chart, and try to outguess the macroeconomic tape. They bleed equity every single day because they operate on intuition, hopium, and outdated patterns rather than empirical data. The quantitative approach strips away the human element entirely: -> The IB EDGE matrix calculates the exact directional draw of the opening range -> Subjective bias is replaced by a strict Expected Value (EV) baseline -> Execution is mechanically restricted to asymmetric risk zones -> You stop trading arbitrary shapes on a screen and start trading structural math The real edge is never about having a "gut feeling" on the open. It is submitting entirely to the statistical probability of the session's delivery before the first hour even closes. Aiming to drop this indicator Sunday right before the open. It’s my absolute go to at 8 AM to see exactly where we’re sitting relative to the previous hourly opens these levels pull price like a magnet. I just baked in a 31-period EMA along with standard deviations pulled from 15 years of historical data, so we're rock solid. Been watching @AC_Trades lean on them heavily for a few weeks now. Wrapping up some final tweaks, then it’s good to go
