This horses story has really caught fire on Social Media of late, with passionate arguments and feelings seen on both sides of the debate of whether he should have been euthanized at birth. I really know nothing about it aside from the posts, but the vet and science person in me wonders how often radiographs were taken and what they showed as he grew. I would love to know if a full necropsy was done after he was euthanized as well. Since he was kept alive, it makes for a case that would be a tremendous learning opportunity for those cases presented in the future, guiding what decisions should be made when future cases emerge.
