Bittersweet weekend as we finished up the last year of sampling #salamander populations at Fort Leonard Wood, MO- 10 years of data out of the last 11 (like everyone else, excludes 2020...)

Another reason to not lead with your salary expectations is that the same job title can have very different responsibilities at different companies and responsibility should drive salary. After interviewing and asking questions, you should have a much better sense.

@javirudolph If they ask the salary you expect, just say as per industry standards. Also, you don’t always need industry experience to negotiate a higher salary. It’s OK to be a freshly minted PhD.

This was year number 10 surveying these ponds looking for paedomorphic adults- individuals that keep their gills and stay aquatic but can reproduce, like the big individual below.
