Philadelphia will not get better if the business climate is this hostile. Shoplifting is out of control, it's too expensive to run a small business, and bureaucrats shake you down for random stuff. It cannot continue to be like this.

Whole neighborhoods have been allowed to decay into open-air drug markets and government bureaucrats are focused on... antagonizing small businesses who dare to build sidewalk cafes. Enraging.

Here's the other 4 most recently cited places lacking "sidewalk cafe" licenses. A lot of what people love about Philly is going to be bullied away by bureaucracy unless city council can change its rules to be reasonable, straightforward to comply with, and city wide.

JUST IN: @GovernorHobbs vetoes HB2570 dubbed the "Arizona Starter Homes Act." This was a bipartisan bill that would have prohibited HOA's and cities from regulating certain design aspects of a home. Hobbs called the bill a "step too far."
