The Telangana Hate Speech and Hate Crimes (Prevention) Bill 2026 being advanced by the Congress government is a draconian tool to curb free speech. While preventing genuine hate speech and maintaining social harmony is an important responsibility of any government, the present bill’s framework appears dangerously broad, vague, and open to misuse. Instead of protecting public order, the bill risks becoming an instrument for the selective targeting of opposition leaders, critics, journalists, social media activists, and ordinary citizens expressing dissent. Our country already has several legal provisions dealing with hate speech, incitement to violence, defamation, and public disorder. Instead of strengthening the implementation of existing laws, the Telangana Congress government appears to be introducing a parallel framework that expands executive discretion without adding safeguards. I demand that the state government immediately withdraw this draconian bill.

రైతుబంధు పాలన పోయి రాబందుల పాలన వచ్చె! పండించిన పంటను కాంగ్రెస్ సర్కారు కొనకపోవడంతో నానాకష్టాలు పడుతున్న రైతన్నల గోడు తెలుసుకునేందుకు గత నవంబర్ 18 నాడు నేను స్థానిక బీఆర్ఎస్ నాయకులతో కలిసి ఆదిలాబాద్ మార్కెట్ యార్డ్‌కు వెళ్లాను. అంతకు ముందురోజే మీడియాతో తన కష్టాలు చెప్పుకుంటూ కళ్లనీళ్ల పర్యంతం అయ్యాడు ఆదిలాబాద్‌ జిల్లా ఆర్లీ(బీ)కి గ్రామానికి చెందిన తుడుం గణపతి. నాలుగు రోజులుగా మార్కెట్‌ యార్డులో ఉంటున్నా తన సోయాబీన్ పంటను కొనడం లేదని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశాడు. కాంగ్రెస్ సర్కారు ఇట్లాగే పంటను కొనకుండా వేధిస్తే, తనకు మరణం తప్ప మరోమార్గం లేదని రోదించాడు. రుణమాఫీ కాక, రైతుభరోసా రాక, అప్పుల బాధ తీవ్రమై మూడు రోజుల క్రితం గణపతి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నాడు ఇది ఆత్మహత్య కాదు. ముమ్మాటికీ రేవంత్ సర్కారు చేసిన హత్యనే!

BRS Working President @KTRBRS has written to the Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister @HardeepSPuri seeking urgent intervention to address the shortage of commercial and domestic LPG cylinders, which is affecting hotels, eateries, hostels, and small food businesses. The letter warns that thousands of establishments could shut down and lakhs of workers and students may face hardship if supply is not restored immediately. KTR proposed a set of practical measures including: 👉 A tiered LPG allocation system to protect small vendors 👉 A real-time public dashboard on LPG availability 👉 A temporary price freeze on commercial cylinders He also urged strict action against the black market and special protection for PG hostels, crematoriums, and vulnerable workers. In his detailed letter, KTR stressed that the crisis requires immediate, coordinated action to safeguard livelihoods and essential services.
