Narcissists systematically dehumanize their victims. Not only do they manipulate the victim's self-perception, convincing them that they are “less than” or unworthy of basic human rights, but they manipulate how others see their victims, portraying them as undesirable or problematic individuals. This tactic isolates the victim, making it harder for others to recognize the abuse or feel sympathy, thereby allowing the narcissist to maintain control and continue their abusive behavior unquestioned.
