@rocketplz i know exactly what you’re going through 🥹. I have Crohn’s disease. One of the side effects is abscess created by inflammation that’s out of control. I have an abscess on my abdomen that becomes painful and causes me to limp. It made me lose all my confidence honestly.

I was diagnosed with a complex anorectal fistula 2 yrs ago. I am having my 4th surgery July. As a gay man I cannot begin to explain the shame I feel. I can barely look at myself in the mirror. I feel incredibly isolated and abandoned. But I am proud of myself for not giving up.

@Kilp123 @rocketplz It actually can become very serious. My fistula went into my scrotum causing recurring abscesses and I almost went septic and died. And no, it wasn’t from anal sex which I can’t even have because I had my colon removed as a teen due to severe ulcerative colitis.

@rocketplz I had a complex anoscrotal fistula that took nearly 20 surgeries from 2023-2025 at various hospitals here in NY and none of them could fix it. I ended up going to Healing Hands Clinic in India last year and had surgery with Dr. Ashwin Porwal and am happy to say I’m fistula-free.
