Violence and Discrimination, a short film from Pierre Rehov be seen by more people. It’s about women’s rights under the Palestinian Authority and Islam in general. This film has relevance to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, human rights, the role of religion in society and how the quality of life of women in a culture reflect on it as a whole. What a culture, government, religion or individual defines as “women’s rights” can vary greatly. I suggest watching this film and thinking about your own definition of women’s rights. Mine start with the Equal Rights Amendment. It should have been adopted long ago. Violence and discrimination youtu.be/f_aj4_ov6EA?si… via @YouTube

Men should be able to handle seeing a woman wearing revealing clothing in public without losing their composure. I find it creepy for a man to tell a woman he sees in public how she should dress at all. Telling a woman she should wear more clothes or less clothes are both weird behavior:

@Beagle355 @XrpSnakie @aruvinchan Bro you are the creep. You just said you would like to see girls wear less in public. Calling the guy gay for telling a girl to be modest. That makes you the creep.

Guy told girl to dress more modestly. Girl totally lost it. Because she knew he was right... that she dressed like a cheap prostitute. He said just exactly the right words to trigger her shame.

@Acyn The U.S. imports very little oil through the strait of Hormuz and very few American tankers transit through it. American tankers not transiting the straights is not important, it’s other countries tankers that matter.

Jessica: Trump was bragging about the 20 tankers that got by the Strait of Hormuz as if that was a big win for the Americans. And none of them were American tankers, they were Pakistani tankers, and that came as a direct result of negotiations between Pakistan and the Iranians. The WSJ is reporting that the Iranians launched two times more missiles on a daily basis than a week ago. That is concerning about their ability to rearm and to rebuild.  Marco Rubio put out a statement talking about the clear objectives…. We have moved away from what Karoline Leavitt was even saying from the podium today, because she was talking about nuclear programs—that that's not on the list anymore—getting rid of the nuclear material

It may be true that pushing this guy was illegal but that doesn’t change the meaning of his words or make his behavior appropriate. A man who harasses women in public like this is not only trashy, he’s creepy, weird and should be ashamed. Even if she was completely naked a man should be able to keep his mouth shut and behave.

That’s an opinion, not the truth. It’s also an opinion that hasn’t been shared by many straight young men for many decades. Making comments like this to women in public is creepy, weird and insulting behavior. Portraying harassment of women in public as acceptable behavior is nothing to be proud of.

I had many genuine female friends when I was young and single. It was definitely a good thing for me and can be for most men. A man with women friends rarely touches then though. The only women friends I ever touched were ones that I went to clubs with on weekends in my 20s. They trusted me because I never tried to have sex with them.

Do you know that the average single man can go months or even years without non-sexual physical touch. No hugs. No hand-holding. No comforting pat on the back? The only time many men experience gentle touch is from a barber or a paid sex worker. This condition is called 'Skin Hunger,' and it leads to severe depression and anxiety. Society has labeled male touch as 'predatory' or 'creepy,' so men have learned to starve themselves of human contact just to make women feel comfortable. They are dying of loneliness in a crowded room.
k@alfkkifine

what opinion about men do you have that makes people feel like this???

As a man I have heard how some men talk about women with big boobs. A girl I went to high school with developed at before other girls her age. There wee boys who talked about her and I’m sure she noticed that sometimes. I could be wrong but it seemed like her sense of self worth was affected. She had a different look in her eyes than I had seen in any other high school girl.

I’ve had to go through a checkpoint, prove my identity and get permission from the government of every country I’ve been to when I cross their border. I’ve never been allowed to sneak in or just walk past customs officials like I am above the law. For some reason a lot of Americans on the left side of politics think foreigners entering the U.S. should be allowed to ignore customs and immigration officials and walk right pas them.

Corruption is not the same thing as fraud. Steering government funds or jobs to political allies, friends, family members or for your own benefit is considered corruption by many people. Those things are not uncommon in our government and are often not against the law. The frequency of blatant fraud being discovered at science agencies being low is not surprising. The typical government employee just works for their paycheck. The agencies they work for and the things those agencies do are considered a waste of taxpayer money and an overreach of government authority by many. We definitely don’t want federal government employees who can’t accept that there are people who disagree with them on the role of government or the things they’ve been hired to do.

Now this is progress: "An estimated 95,000 people who have left federal science agencies since President Trump returned to the White House." I'd bet not one of the "scientists" among the 95,000 could point to a single actual advance in scientific knowledge that resulted from their taxpayer-funded "research." nytimes.com/2026/03/25/cli…

People who don’t understand the concept of opportunity cost are not uncommon today. There are many people who not only don’t understand what opportunity cost is, they also can’t be taught. It’s an obvious concept to some people but to others incompatible with how their brain works:

“The problem is opportunity cost, not cost, and if you cannot understand the difference you cannot understand the problem. Parents are poorer relative to their childless peers, relative to where they themselves would be had they not had kids. If the problem was pure “cost,” then child grants would help immensely—they would make children more “affordable.” But we know from countless schemes the world over that they move the needle slightly, if at all. This is why poor Americans can “afford” more kids—their earnings are lower and so are the opportunity costs of bearing and caring for children. The middle class strivers bear the brunt of the pain here: their time is money, and for the upper middle class, it is good money. These are the women who delay as long as possible, and have fewer children than they would like.” Great read from @SarahTheHaider

There are literal checkpoints in every airport that has international flights and they’re been there for decades. They are there to stop people from entering the U.S. illegally keep a record of foreigners entering our country. Enforcement of immigration law is not harassment of families.

😒 Laughing in the face of people calling out fascism? These ICE agents are being used as political props in Trump’s theater, turning airports into checkpoints to harass families and create chaos for headlines. Real patriots don’t celebrate untrained agents intimidating civilians. This is desperation, not strength. Keep the propaganda. Most Americans see the stunt for what it is. Pathetic.

I am not aware of anyone being jailed due to DOGE. Unfortunately corruption and use of government power and funds for personal gain and political goals is accepted practice to people involved in our federal government. It’s perfectly reasonable to think things I don’t like are a waste of money or not the role of the federal government. I don’t like creationism being taught as a valid concept in public schools. If the federal government funded creation science research I would consider that a waste of money.

That is true. The nations of the Arab world that dominate the Middle East and surround Israel have a long history of attacking Israel and not being exactly welcoming to Jews. The U.S. helps Israel militarily more because their neighbors have a history of trying to destroy them. Israel is also the best ally and friendliest nation the U.S. has on the region. The Iranian regime refers to the U.S. as the great satan, kills American soldiers, sponsors terrorism and held our embassy staff hostage for 444 days. Why would anyone expect the U.S. to sell our best weapons to nations who hate us and our allies? America has no obligation to sell advanced weapons to nations that might use them against us or our allies. We famously made that mistake with Iran before their revolution.

The idea that every sovereign country near Israel must cap its conventional weapons, limit its defensive capabilities, restrict missile and fighter jet ranges, and even dismantle its own military industries—just so Israel can "feel safe"—is completely absurd. Which other nation on Earth demands and receives this kind of privilege? This exceptionalism is especially ridiculous coming from a regime with such an inherently aggressive posture and track record in the region.

@hft_trading1988 @RezaNasri1 It applies to all regional countries. Israel used their lobby the 🇺🇸 to legally mandate Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge (QME). Since 2008, U.S. law requires the President to ensure Israel's QME is maintained, particularly when selling weapons to other Middle Eastern nations.

It’s a generally accepted that limiting the spread of nuclear weapons is a good thing; especially among countries ruled by fanatical religious dictators. Countries that don’t attack Israel, fire at ships transiting the Red Sea, attack other Arab nations and through proxy terrorist organizations don’t need to limit their military. The U.S. is Saudi Arabia’s biggest supplier of military equipment. They need our F15s to protect themselves from Iran.
