Everyone makes the occasional mistake while chasing. Its called being human. However,
If you panic in straight line winds and your immediate first though is to U-turn into opposite moving traffic...thats multiple lines crossed and you should not be storm chasing, at least until you
A - Actually understand the storms you're chasing and learn and
B - Actually understand yourself and what your comfort levels are.
If one of these things is missing, you're a danger to everyone else, plain and simple...and I dont care about your "rights"

The main issues with younger chasers have more to do with the fact theyre NEW chasers who put themselves in situations they cant handle, like what we see in that clip from OK last night with freaking out in winds and going the wrong way up on onramp.
This can happen with older chasers too who are new. There's just more younger chasers who are new for obvious reasons.

Yesterday, in Illinois and Iowa, that storm was moving 60, 70 mph, and yeah, we had to move pretty fast to keep up, but that’s not an excuse to just fly down interstate medians or tear down roads at 100+ mph in heavy traffic in pouring rain an wind. People are following the herd, tracking down and following chasers, breaking laws…passing double yellows, blocking roads… and worst of all, real researchers—guys like @ReedTimmerUSA can’t even get to the damn tornado. THIS ISNT A FUCKING GAME. THIS IS NOT ROBLOX!!! If we don’t stop this shit, the science, the safety, and the real chase will be gone. We must police our community better! And it’s not just about the safety… this is about survival for us as professional chasers. These new kids are giving tornado footage away for free, just chasing clout. Meanwhile, we’ve poured tens of thousands—gear, gas, Starlink, ISPTEK, all that into this. We quit jobs and built life around this. And it’s at risk now. We get the best damn shots, and then some random person posts it, and suddenly everyone uses it. If we can’t protect this, we’re gonna lose everything we’ve built
