@WilliamShatner Those shows focused on Entertaining stories and compelling character development. I watched every episode of Discovery and I have no idea what the character names are for 1/2 the bridge crew. But I know their sexual orientation for some reason 🤔 Academy was 10 times worse.

And when the Next Gen came out; there was tons of hate because it “wasn’t Star Trek” and the cast probably was in fear from the fans. Again when the series with Bakula came out, it too was panned by the fans because it “wasn’t Star Trek.” Star Trek is different for everyone. 🤷🏼

@DavidLeavitt I liked Star Wars the Acolyte. She Hulk was too comedically stupid. Willow was boring. Didn’t watch Dark Crystal. Starfleet Academy was AWFUL. I stopped watching after episode 4.

Heaven and hell is made up. Once you die , you’re dead. This is my subjective opinion. if you counter it, the burden of proof lays on you to provide proof of heaven, hell, and consciousness after death. I’m open to have my mind changed by sufficient evidence.

@preciousStamets I am happy that you liked the show. But as you can see, when you make a show that caters to the 3-5% instead of the 95-97% this is what happens. Especially for those who spent 60 years making the franchise what it is today. It’s disrespectful.

@WilliamShatner You’ve been a Trek alumni for 60 years. Starfleet Academy was decimating Trek canon that you helped create. I love Star Trek, but what came before should matter. It does to me. Regrettably, I’m glad it was cancelled. It did too much damage.

Star Trek exists in more than one world. It exists in the fantasy of science fiction - weird and wonderful things that play unimaginable possibilities of exploration and human endeavor. But it also exists in the fantasy of human beings, the perfection of human beings, the exploration that human beings have made since the dawn of time and the continuing exploration - physically mentally and morally. It’s that aspect of Star Trek that I’ve always loved, to look at something physically that doesn’t exist now by these talented writers & designers but also to tackle the eternal human questions the agonies, the ecstasies. Star Trek should exist for a long time to come based on those truths. I for one would love to see its continuity. It’s with sorrow that I hear about the cancellation of the new Star Trek series.

@charrlysa TOS was a show about space exploration. It was primarily an action tv show. When it did address social issues it didn’t preach. It presented viewers with an idea that made them think. Starfleet Academy was nothing like TOS in spirit or reality. It was just shock TV at best.

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Right-wing haters killed something that was objectively amazing. Starfleet Academy had one of the best first seasons of any Trek show. Period. These anti-woke losers would’ve had a stroke at Riker rizzing up non-binary aliens in TNG. Star Trek has always been progressive.

@CaptainJackYT The series is better if no episodes of Star Trek are ever written again than it is with even one more hour of Starfleet Academy. We need to get louder to try and stop season 2 from airing and call for the sale of the franchise until someone buys it who doesn’t hate its own fans.

It is depressing & disappointing seeing people "celebrate" the cancellation of a series. Do people not realise this hurts the franchise as a whole? Yes, you can not like something... but is there a need to continually punch it down?? #StarTrek
