It’s been really hard living with my boyfriend as a woman who really likes her own space, imma be honest. I miss my space. I miss just being awake until 4am & not having someone tell me to go to bed like I’m a child. Or comment on what I’m eating. Or squeeze my ass randomly.

It's insane to me that even one person voted in favor of letting dogs and people die a slow and painful death on Skid Row. Like, how can you see years of dead dogs and dead people and say "Hmm...that's fine".

Today was Little Boy Kong’s birthday party, the first one that M (his mother) did not plan or attend. I was excited to see everyone but also slightly dreaded it. Not because of who would be there, but the one person not there. It was always her and I standing there, holding him. She wasn’t a big talker, so I gave the speeches while she smiled at me
Today, when it was time to sing happy birthday, I started talking and thanking everyone for coming. Immediately it all rushed in, I got choked up. Instead of crying, I just said “anyhow, let’s sing happy birthday”
My son had a great time, and so did I. Tons of old and new friends came, really was incredible. Getting the text the offer was accepted during the party was surreal, truly a “nothing ever happens then everything happens” moment
Today was the start of new beginnings for him and I in many ways, and I’m grateful for all of it
