@NireeMusic @SinclaireOO Dfntly a convo for musicians & ppl who sample to always keep having, & to respect where everyone is coming from. For one, it’s all music. & it’s a lifelong craft, so it naturally grows like anyone’s craft does. Sampling is a much younger practice than playing trdtnl instruments.

@NireeMusic @SinclaireOO Strong analogy (pointin to how cooking & the arts aren’t made w/ the intent 4 ppl to change them). Some art does welcome participation tho, espclly music. I think we know too, many composers of evry era see sampling as exciting & as an ext. of their work (when it gets sampled)

Here’s my gripe about the sampling vs not sampling difficulty: in order for those samples to exist you had multiple people working on a song. The drummer took years to learn drumming, keyboardist, guitar player, bass player AND the producer. Horn players, string players.
